Eleven secluded acres, a century of stories.
History, nature, and design in every corner of the Texas Hill Country.
From Relics Ranch to Relics Reserve.
Formerly known as “Relics Ranch,” Relics Reserve is a stunning two-home estate that blends history, nature, and design into every corner. Tucked into the heart of the Texas Hill Country in Wimberley, the secluded 11-acre retreat suits couples, families, and small groups year-round โ with wineries, shops, restaurants, and grocery stores a short walk or drive away.
The homes carry an eclectic mix of rustic and modern furnishings, originally designed and curated by the current owners and previous owners — HGTV designer, Bex Hale and her husband David. Think Restoration Hardware meets the Texas Hill Country: Relics Reserve has been a standout on the annual home tour and an impressive example of Hill Country finery.
The courtyard
A garden oasis between two homes.
A manicured lawn, stone walkways, and native plantings shelter under majestic oaks, the whole space enclosed by a hand-stacked stone perimeter. The two homes sit twenty yards apart on opposite sides of the pool and hot tub, connected by a serene oasis and a charming greenhouse.
An inviting cabana with a tin roof and cedar beams houses an outdoor kitchen, gas grill, fridge, and a bar with stools. The pool and hot tub overlook a stone water fountain and the gardens, and a stone patio centers on a wood-burning fireplace with cozy seating โ plus dozens of indoor and outdoor games.
Pool & cabana
Resident donkeys and a barn cat.
Beyond the stone wall, guests can visit the barn and paddock, climb the treehouse, and wander the grounds โ and say hello to the friendly residents. Cat food, fresh produce, and Allstock feed provided for guests to lend their “Ranch Hands” in feeding the Locals.
June Carter
One of the estate's two mini-donkeys, grazing freely outside the stone walls.
Loretta Lynn
June's daughter and the other half of the mother-daughter mini-donkey duo โ especially popular with the kids.
Bunny
A friendly outdoor barn cat who roams the grounds keeping Relics critter-free. Look for her at her kitty castle and favorite spots around the ranch.

The Irvines.
The Irvines purchased the property in December 2024, renaming it from Relics Ranch to Relics Reserve while preserving the estate's two homes, grounds, and pool in their original form. They've since completed a number of improvement projects to enhance the guest experience โ and also welcomed a sister property, Happy Owl Lakehouse, on Canyon Lake, Texas.
